artist activist asylum
a dialogically engaged body-politic lives well. if agency is a goal, what is our mission? through sacred aspects found in telling and listening we come to know/break/tend to testimony [locally]. thought is extended to citizens who may have felt subdued; whose spirit may appear broken. by facilitating diversity of voices, exercising diversity of media, we are challenged to pay attention [specifically].

just got marketing call from reconstructionist rabbinic college asking for my support. i was too startled to access prefab, "take me off your list" loop; instead launching into an abstract rendition about notions for denominational/non participation (probably staunchly). in other words, "i'm opposed to singling out any denomination to give 36 bucks to." her "what?" prompted me to add, "its philosophical" ... the poor woman (and i need help).

poetry slam. listened to marc smith read his poetry about mountains... and conquering. "pull the next one up." reminds me of kafka and yb femlibrary bookends.
